About

Sheryl lives just outside of Guelph, Ontario. Her paintings reflect the beauty and colour of the Canadian landscape. She loves to spend time in nature and paints to share the beauty of God’s creation with others. Through painting she has learned to look more carefully to see the vibrant colours and intricate designs all around her in nature. She is inspired by light dancing on the water, or colours in the rocks or sky. She works in acrylics, oils and watercolours. Sheryl loves to hike, paddle and walk along the beaches and trails. Many of her reference photos are taken while vacationing in Ontario with her family, enjoying camping in the many parks. She has enjoyed painting and drawing her whole life. She has studied watercolour under Barry McCarthy of Elora, Ontario at many of his local workshops. In recent years, she has enjoyed working with acrylics and continues to participate in painting workshops in Southern Ontario with Ontario artists as she has works to improve her skills. Sheryl lives with her husband Scott on a country property just outside of Guelph with beautiful gardens and a pond. They have three grown children.
